General Hospital spoilers exclaim the cat is out of the bag — Veronica ‘Ronnie’ Bard (Erika Slezak) is a modern day con artist, drafted by Martin ‘Marty’ Grey (Michael E. Knight) as a means of sticking it to Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot).
Marty has been bouncing around without any real anchor to Port Charles since returning, but now he has finally found what he came back for — revenge.
Tracy’s meddling ruined the life he had planned on having before, and he’s intent on seeing to it that she pays for what she has done — even if he is beyond over it.
Watching her retaliate against Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) has been the icing on the cake. But word on the street is that Ronnie isn’t going to be sticking around town for very long, and that means this story is going to wrap sooner or later.
Who will come out the winner if Ronnie’s guilty conscience gets the best of her and she comes clean? Will she rat Marty out in the process?
The Past Isn’t in the Past
Marty has been waiting for this opportunity for quite a while now. Some fans may recall that Tracy stuck her nose in his business way back when he was canoodling with Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring).
That led to a prompt and catastrophic end to Lucy and Marty’s romance when he found her with Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner).
For the fans, this might be a relic lurking in Marty’s past since he and Lucy have more or less moved on, but Marty is tired of Tracy’s antics and the way she gets under his skin.
It’s intense enough that some fans have suspected a romance might eventually spur with these two enemies. The chemistry is undeniable!
GH Spoilers Tease Ronnie Isn’t Sticking Around
Nevertheless, Ronnie isn’t here for a long time. Slezak’s role is short-term, and as much as we’ve enjoyed seeing her, we understand.
She’s been in retirement for some time now and it makes sense that this role wouldn’t become a newly established character in Port Chuck intent on building a future there.
Ronnie is selling the Quartermaine estate to Drew, and that has Tracy’s wheels turning. She’s been trying to figure out what Ronnie is up to, and now she may suspect she’s been scheming with Drew all along — which could be part of Marty’s master plan.
Is he just trying to twist the knife in Tracy’s back, or might Marty be interested in sticking it to Drew too?
General Hospital Spoilers — In the End, Who Will Win?
Drew has no idea that Marty is helping to nudge things along for him with Ronnie. He thinks she reconsidered his offer all on her own. But Marty is in the background with his fingerprints off everything as he manipulates the situation like a true puppet master.
Is his goal just to steal everything from Tracy that she holds dear and make sure it ends up in the hands of someone she hates, or is he putting Tracy and Drew against one another on purpose to ruin the Quartermaine family from the inside-out?
Ronnie seems rather uncomfortable with her role in all of this. Would any of us be surprised if she confesses the truth soon and tells all about the scam she’s been running?
If that’s the case, she’s going to want to explain how she came into this picture and how she got Monica Quartermaine’s (Leslie Charleson) will altered.
