Days of Our Lives spoilers and updates pose the question, did Andre DiMera (Thaao Penghlis) kidnap Tony DiMera (Thaao Penghlis) to make him into the new Stefano DiMera (Joseph Mascolo)?
Something’s been off with “Tony” for quite some time, and he’s been acting like Andre-but now Tony’s disappeared from a cruise with Anna; what happened?
Has Andre Been Impersonating Tony?
Fans have suspected for several months that there’s been something off with Tony-his facial expressions, his sudden interest in keeping Stefano’s company seemed off.
Some even have speculated that Andre was alive after all, and impersonating Tony again; and so well, Anna DiMera (Leanne Hunley) couldn’t even tell.
But Tony’s never been so intent on keeping DiMera Enterprises alive, and especially not running it-and yet that’s what he’s been trying to do lately.
So now, when Anna called and first reported Tony missing to EJ DiMera (Dan Feurreriegel) he wasn’t particularly concerned-he just figured Tony’d lost track of time.
But her second call indicated Tony hadn’t returned in time and missed the boat entirely near Athens, Greece-what could have happened?
If Andre’s Been Impersonating Tony, Then Where Has Tony Been?
The next logical question is, if Andre’s been impersonating Tony, then where has the real Tony been all this time, not just when he disappeared during the cruise with Anna!
It’s quite possible that Andre kidnapped him several months back, and he’s been keeping him stashed somewhere for a special purpose.
Tony’s never been power mad like “he’s” been acting over DiMera, and he’s never been shifty or greedy, but Anna hasn’t seen that side-or she hasn’t been paying attention.
It seems like it’s too much to be a coincidence that “Tony” has disappeared from the Grecian cruise shortly before the Horton Free Clinic is supposed to be completed and open.
And as viewers have noticed, there’s a great deal of secrecy about that clinic-like it perhaps is a front for something else entirely-especially considering there’s a secret wing!
It’s Almost Time, Father…
DOOL fans will remember the cryptic scene in the most recent fall preview, where Andre-or Tony-or is it Andre-looks down at a figure in a cryogenic tube, and says “It’s almost time, Father”!
And before that, a scene of Anna telling him about Susan Banks (Stacy Haiduk) sensing that Stefano’s evil presence is active. Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) has nightmares about being Stefano’s Queen of The Night as well!
Ironically, it was Tony, along with Chad, who burned the artificial intelligence chip retrieved from Steve Johnson’s (Stephen Nichols) brain that had turned him into “Steveano”. So, whose body is “Father” inhabiting this time-might Andre have kidnapped Tony to make him into the new Stefano?
