Might she decide this is the perfect time to file for custody of her grandchildren, with Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) in jail and Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) under suspicion for a shooting?
Willow Maintains That Michael Has Framed Her For The Attempted Murder Of Drew Cain
Willow maintains that Michael has framed her for the attempted murder of Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) by planting Edward Quartermaine’s (John Ingle) gun in her room at Elizabeth Baldwin’s (Rebecca Herbst).
Nina knows that the only way to protect her grandchildren from Drew is to file custody of them herself, and get them away from Michael, who’s also been under suspicion.
After all, why would Michael frame Willow if he hadn’t shot Drew himself-Nina knows he was a person of interest as well as herself and her daughter.
Had Nina not been outed as lying about Willow’s alibi, she certainly would have kept it, but Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) had pulled security tape that disproved it.
Now Nina faces never mending her relationship with her daughter and never seeing her grandchildren again-she can’t have that!
Michael’s Hooking Up With A Call Girl
Nina becomes aware that Michael’s hooking up with a call girl-Jacinda Bracken, (Paige Herschell) who she and Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) hired to drug Drew last summer!
She couldn’t help but see the two together and their body language betrayed them-it’s obvious that it’s more than a “professional relationship” although that would be bad enough!
Nina also is aware that Jacinda isn’t the first call girl Michael’s been involved with-she learned about Abby Haver (Andrea Bogart) while she was still involved with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
She knows Michael isn’t as pure as the driven snow, and she’s seeing a much more dark Michael than she did when he was still married to Willow.

Nina decides to fight dirty and pursues getting Michael declared an unfit father, because that’s the only way to keep Wiley and Amelia Corinthos (Viron Weaver, Serenity and Sequoia Mork Macko) safe.
She dares not take a chance at Drew trying to get custody, when Willow’s not there to protect her children-she knows about Drew upsetting Wiley that day. No matter if Michael is fit or unfit, it wasn’t right for Drew to tell his son something about his daddy that upset him.
Nina wants to have full and legal custody of her grandchildren, not just so she can have a relationship with them, but to make sure neither Drew nor Michael does!
