The setup is TOO perfect! Everyone assumes Hope will say yes when Liam proposes! But what if the TWIST is that Hope actually says NO? What if all this pressure makes Hope realize she does NOT want to go back to Liam‘s wishy-washy nonsense? That would be the plot twist of the CENTURY!
The Setup Is TOO Perfect—Which Means It Is Suspicious
Let’s talk about the October 24 episode of The Bold and the Beautiful, shall we? The ENTIRE episode was dedicated to pushing Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) and Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) back together!
Bill Spencer (Don Diamont), Katie Logan (Heather Tom), and Will Spencer (Crew Morrow) told Liam he needs to fight for Hope! Bill gave his “Spencer men fight for what they want” speech! Katie said Hope is “ready to find her way back to herself and YOU!”
Then Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) did the EXACT SAME THING with Hope! Brooke said something has been missing from her life—”Or someone—Liam!” Deacon added “Don’t let Liamget away again!”
The episode ended with Bill encouraging Liam on one side and Brooke encouraging Hope on the other! It was SO obvious!
And THAT is exactly why we think Hope might say NO!
When Has Soap Opera Setup THIS Obvious Ever Gone According to Plan?
When has a soap opera EVER set something up THIS perfectly and had it go as expected? NEVER!
They dedicated an ENTIRE episode to having everyone push these two back together! Soap operas thrive on subverting expectations and shocking the audience!
What if the twist is that Hope actually says NO?
Hope Said She Is Not Interested in Having Her Heart Shattered Again
Hope explicitly told Brooke she has had her heart broken “a few times” and is “not interested in having it shattered again!”
That does NOT sound like a woman ready to jump back into a relationship with the man who has broken her heart MULTIPLE times!
Yes, Hope said “How could I not love him?” But loving someone and WANTING to be with them are two very different things! You can love someone and still recognize being with them is BAD for you!
Let Us Revisit Liam’s Greatest Hits of Terrible Behavior
Liam Spencer is the KING of flip-flopping between women! This man has gone back and forth between Hope and Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) SO many times that it became a running joke!
Liam has a pattern of being with one woman, getting distracted by another, running to that woman, then running BACK when things get complicated! He has done this for YEARS!
Now, after his near-death experience, Liam suddenly realizes Hope and Beth are his world? Where was this energy before?
What if Hope realizes she deserves better than being someone’s backup plan?

Bold and the Beautiful set up the reunion SO perfectly that it feels like a red herring! They spent an entire episode having everyone push these two back together!
And that is exactly why we think Hope might say NO!
Hope Logan saying NO to Liam Spencer would show growth! It would show strength! It would show Hope has learned she deserves better than being someone’s backup plan!
While everyone is planning the reunion, we are hoping Hope channels her inner bad bitch and says “Thanks, but NO THANKS!”
Now THAT would be a soap opera moment worth watching!
