General Hospital (GH) spoilers hint at a huge bait and switch with the Ronnie Bard (Erika Slezak) drugging story. At a tea party at the Q mansion Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) ws accused of slipping a micky into her rival’s tea.
Tracy adamantly denies the charge and the pile of evidence mounting against Martin Gray (Michael E Knight) has us thinking he’s the culprit. Let’s break down what could be Martin’s latest outlandish scheme!
Did Martin Drug Ronnie?
This week Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) threw a tea party for Ronnie. It was supposed to be a debutante sort of thing, but also a peace offering so that Ronnie would not sell the Q mansion.
Martin popped up uninvited claiming to have Lulu Spencer’s (Alexa Havins Bruening) phone. Eventually Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) saw him and invited him to meet Ronnie. The show made it clear with a few prolonged scenes that Martin was probably up to no good.
Why Did Martin Do It?
Martin lingered in the foyer before Stella saw him and when he met Ronnie he shook her hand forcing her to set her teacup down.
Next, we saw a shot of said teacup cluing us in that something is afoot.
Next, Stella and Ronnie stepped away while Martin remained with the teacups. When it was time to leave, he bid adieu to Ronnie who then went to get her cup and next all heck broke loose.
Ronnie Drank then Spilled the Tea
Ronnie sipped then began to feel and act weird. But why would Martin do such a thing, if he did spike Ronnie’s tea?
It’s complicated. But it boils down to this: there is no love lost between Martin and Tracy even though there hatred could easily turn to passion in a hot second. Tracy had Martin arrested and apparently he is the vengeful type.
Martin knows Tracy’s spotty history: she framed Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) for drunk driving and was accused of drugging Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison). It was easy to believe she would get blamed, and she did.
Olivia accused Tracy in front of everyone and no one batted an eye because this type of trick is Tracy’s signature.
If this line of reasoning is correct, after Martin found the letter from Ronnie he leveraged it to get back at Tracy. Maybe he knew Monica Quartermaine’s (Leslie Charleson) lawyer, accessed his records and changed Monica’s will.
This is all conjecture at this point, but as they say: Martin had means, motive, and opportunity.
What happens next? Tracy likely hire a lawyer to go after Ronnie at which point Martin could offer his services pro bono.
