Season Twelve Ended Up With A Cliffhanger Of Sorts
Hearties will remember when Season Twelve ended, with a cliffhanger of sorts. Elizabeth Thornton, (Erin Krakow) Nathan and Allie Grant (Kevin McGarry, Jaeda Lily Miller) and traveled to where Little Jack Thornton (Hyland Goodrich) could get insulin.
The town where the clinic is happens to be where Little Jack’s paternal grandmother lives, so they will be spending some time with Charlotte Thornton (Brooke Shields) as well.
At the conclusion of the last episode of Season twelve, the group were on their way. They were headed to a town called Cape Fullerton.
Good News And Bad News
It’s been more than ten years since When Calls the Heart debuted on Hallmark, and we still can’t get enough of it! The series depicts a community facing the difficulties of life in a frontier town during the early 20th century.
Much of the storyline centers around schoolteacher Elizabeth, who has navigated love, loss, and everything in between throughout 12 seasons on air.
The beloved drama is currently in the midst of filming its historic season 13, and fans are eager to know if they’ll get to watch new episodes this year.

The Season Premiere Will Not Be In 2025, It Will Be Next Year
To the dismay of fans everywhere, When Calls the Heart will not be making a comeback in 2025; but don’t worry, Hearties!
Hallmark has provided a significant hint regarding the premiere of season 13 with new episodes… and it appears to be closer than we anticipated.
Thanks to an unexpected preview trailer released in August, fans discovered that When Calls the Heart season 13 is set to debut sometime in 2026 on Hallmark.
“Just a little reminder that we’ve got MORE When Calls the Heart coming your way in 2026, #Hearties!” the Instagram caption stated at that time. “What are your hopes and dreams for season thirteen?!”
Hearties Were Excited To See The News
Naturally, the WCTH news had fans buzzing with excitement about returning to Hope Valley; “Can’t wait! I started watching earlier this year and finished all 12 seasons,” one commenter shared.
“Is it 2026 yet?” another asked; “I don’t want this show to end!!! I hope there are more seasons after this new one,” a different fan added. While details about When Calls the Heart season 13 are scarce, we do know that two major stars will be returning.
As fans found out in August and October 2025, both Melissa Gilbert (Georgie McGill) and Brooke Shields (Charlotte Thornton) will be back when new episodes air on Hallmark next year. Can someone please speed up the clock so we can watch new episodes of When Calls the Heart now?
