There could be royal drama brewing now that fans are calling on Prince Harry to voluntarily give up his titles.
The calls started coming in shortly after Prince Andrew made a public statement to explain that he has chosen to give up his Dukedom. So, will Prince Harry ever follow suit, or will he kick up dust instead?
Will Prince Harry Create More Royal Drama If His Titles Are Threatened?
Prince Harry can’t escape the fact that many royal fans want him to lose his titles. They call it “cleaning up the Monarchy,” and it’s gaining steam online.
Writing for GB News, Lee Cohen gave numerous reasons as to why Prince Harry being stripped of his titles would be beneficial to Clarence House and King Charles’ reign.
“The toxic Sussexes’ deliberate destruction demands their own swift exorcism to preserve the Crown’s honour and support its most admirable servants,” he argued.
Another fan seemingly agreed with Cohen’s sentiments, writing on X, “Charles, the House of Windsor cannot stand on legacy alone. Clean house, enforce accountability, and preserve the monarchy’s dignity. It’s time to remove the liabilities undermining the crown.”
But the thing is, Prince Harry is not going to be giving up his titles like Andrew just did. And if Harry doesn’t do it voluntarily, the road to taking them away would be long, messy and could even draw negative headlines – none of which the Royal Family wants.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have shown extreme fondness to their titles, with her and Harry’s stationery emblazoned with HRH. It’s even been uncovered that Meghan continues to send emails and gifts to friends and acquaintances as Her Royal Highness.
Recently, the former American actress was blasted for spotting a custom tote bag carrying the letters DS, in reference to her title as the Duchess of Sussex.
This is all happening despite Harry assuring us just a few years ago that Meghan doesn’t give a rat’s arse about titles, or care about being a Princess. Don’t blame me, I’m just calling it like it is.
