The holiday season is fast approaching, and Beyond the Gates is seizing the opportunity to infuse some festive enchantment. In a brand-new sneak peek for the holidays, we catch a glimpse of what’s in store — including a potential new romance and a few very special guests.
Additionally, Beyond the Gates will commemorate the holidays with two special episodes set to air on Wednesday, December 24, and Tuesday, December 30, during its regular time slot.
These festive episodes will showcase an original holiday song performed by series lead Clifton Davis, who portrays the Dupree patriarch, Vernon Dupree. But that’s not all — there will also be a special serenade to welcome in 2026 by guest star Kenny Lattimore.
Sparks Fly Between Colleagues, And A Shocking Health Crisis For The Duprees
In the meantime, there are indications that sparks will ignite between coworkers Ted Richardson (Keith D. Robinson) and Shanice Johnson Ernestine Johnson) as they become increasingly drawn into one another’s romantic sphere.
However, it’s clear that Dana “Leslie” Thomas (Trisha Mann-Grant) will have her own strong feelings regarding this situation… and based on the preview, those feelings are far from positive.
Adding to the tension of this romantic entanglement, the entire Dupree family is grappling with the aftermath of a startling health crisis.
But who will this be-Vernon, Anita Dupree, (Tamara Tunie) Bill Hamilton (Timon Kyle Durrett) who’s already had some health problems, or someone among the younger extended Dupree family, and totally unexpected?
