General Hospital spoilers report Police Commissioner Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) just instigated the joint arrests of Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros).
The mother-daughter duo is going down for attempted murder and conspiracy to commit murder. Ouch! It seems that Nina’s faulty alibi was poxed by camera footage placing her at her penthouse apartment on the night in question.
That left poor Willow flapping in the wind without an alibi, and the police wondering why she and Nina made up a story to corroborate one another’s whereabouts when Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) was shot. But Anna is no rookie.
Willow is convinced that Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) set her up, and it may not be long before Anna questions whether she’s right. Moreover, Anna could end up suspecting Michael and Drew have a lot more in common than the woman they both fell for.
Is Michael’s Alibi as Solid as He Thinks?
Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) wasn’t mincing words when he called Michael’s alibi into question on the night Drew was shot. Hooking up with a call girl — the same one who partied with a drug-induced Drew the night he cheated on Willow — is hardly Michael’s style.
Jacinda Bracken (Paige Herschell) covered for Michael in exchange for payment, but what happens when her money runs out again? Will Michael be covering this up for the rest of his days?
Will Jacinda start to feel a certain way about being complicit in this if she begins to think Michael set Willow up? With the right amount of pressure applied by Anna and this house of cards may begin to fall.
GH Spoilers Attest Drew’s Claim Could Raise Red Flags
For the last couple of weeks, Drew has been silently plotting to take Michael down by claiming he spontaneously remembers who shot him — and blaming Michael for it. Sure, it’s apparently not true, but that is entirely beside the point.
Drew committed to this plan with Willow; she agreed because she wanted to throw Michael behind bars so she could get her kids back.
When Michael came to her with an olive branch to visit with them, she thought they may not have to take things that far, but now she’s furious and believes he set her up.
Will she push Drew to retaliate, and if so, will Anna see right through it and call Drew’s claim too little too late?
Did Michael Frame Willow?
Of course, we can’t consider that Anna will see right through Michael’s shaky alibi and Drew’s finger of blame without looking at the woman at the center of all of it.
When Willow told Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) that she would never shoot Drew because she loves him, it was almost believable.
Her anger at her mother in recent weeks could serve as support that she was never a part of the false alibi construction, even though she didn’t exactly correct for it either.
With little left to lose and the gun being all too easy to find in Willow’s room, will Anna start to smell a rat? If so, who will she turn her focus on first — Michael or Drew? Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers just ahead.
