As local murders start to surface in Fletcher’s Grove, Emily feels compelled to utilize her special skills from her former life to assist in solving the crimes that impact her new community.

She encounters Detective Sam Wilner (Peter Mooney), with whom she begins to form a bond, until he discovers that there is much more to Emily than initially apparent.

A podcast of the same name inspired Mistletoe Murders; the series was developed by Ken Cuperus, who also created the podcast series. He has a background as a writer on Stargate: Atlantis and served as a producer on Hudson & Rex.

Has Filming Begun On Season Two, And Where Is It Filmed?

Production for the highly anticipated Season 2 of Mistletoe Murders commenced on March 31, 2025, and has now successfully concluded. This exciting series will be filmed primarily in Toronto along with its neighboring regions.

Mistletoe Murders takes place in the imaginary town of Fletcher’s Grove, a name that pays tribute to Jessica Fletcher, the beloved protagonist from the classic television series, Murder, She Wrote.

The highly anticipated first season of Mistletoe Murders is set to make its grand debut with two consecutive episodes airing on Friday, October 17 at 8 p.m. ET on the Hallmark Channel.

Following closely behind, Season 2 will premiere the Friday after the conclusion of Season 1-for those eager to catch up, the entire first season is now available for streaming on Hallmark+.

More About Sarah Drew

Drew is widely recognized for her portrayal of Dr. April Kepner on the popular medical drama Grey’s Anatomy.

Her acting career began on the show Everwood, where she shared the screen with Treat Williams and a young Chris Pratt, who would later gain fame in Guardians of the Galaxy.

Recently, she has taken on leading roles in Hallmark Channel’s Branching Out and Guiding Emily; In addition to her acting, Drew is the producer for Mistletoe Murders.

Beyond her on-screen work, she has also made significant contributions behind the scenes by writing various scripts and producing content for Lifetime.

Some of her notable projects include Reindeer Games Homecoming, A Cowboy Christmas Romance, and A Carpenter Christmas Romance.

More About Peter Mooney And Sierra Marilyn Riley

Audiences might be familiar with Mooney from his portrayal of Officer Nick Collins in the series Rookie Blue or as Billy Crawford in Burden of Proof.

He has made guest appearances in various shows, including The Republic of Doyle, Heartland, and Wynonna Earp.

Kylee Evans, who portrayed the character Brooke, was a regular cast member on the beloved series Good Witch, where she took on the role of the charming cafe owner, Stephanie.
