“In the aftermath of the Zabel Ridge fire, Station 42 faces internal turmoil but must rally together for a high-stakes rescue that tests their strength, loyalty and the future of the firehouse.

Fire Country Recap and Spoilers pick up at the Buena Vista fire where Vince Leone (Billy Burke), Sharon Leone (Diane Farr), and Walter Leone (Jeffy Fahey) are trapped inside the Buena Vista facility building as fire continues to rage. Bode Leone (Max Theiriot) is fighting to get inside to his parents.

Bode Leone Is Locked Away

Jake Crawford (Jordan Calloway) calls for emergency help because they cannot handle this on their own. Fire fighters have no choice but to lock Bode in a carrier. Bode vows to never forgive Jake for this. Jake goes in to search for the Leone’s Walter and Sharon lose sight of Vince. Walter pulls Sharon out leaving Vince inside.

Jake and the others manage to get Sharon and Walter off to the hospital. Vince is finally found but doesn’t make it. Bode is finally released and Manny Perez (Kevin Alejandro) tells Bode that his mom and grandpa are on the way to the hospital. Bode heard that they found his dad. Manny says Vince didn’t survive. Manny hugs Bode and tells him how sorrow he is that Vince didn’t make it.

Vince Leone’s Funeral

Vince’s funeral procession comes through town with Bode carrying his chief’s had. Bode gives the eulogy at the funeral. Bode says his father’s legacy was finding the fix for everything and he plans to protect his father’s mission as long as he is still standing. The flag is folded and handed to Sharon. Gabi Perez hugs Bode and tells him how beautiful his eulogy was.

Jake tells Manny that Vince called in a favor to get Manny back at 42. Audrey James arrives and tells Bode how sorry she is. The DA is still waiting to see if they are going to charge Audrey with attempted murder. Audrey says fire fighters don’t shoot people. Bode says all of these people have his back. Audrey is afraid Bode will use pills, he says he flushed them.

Sharon Leone Leans On Manny Perez

Sharon needs Manny to get her out of there. Sharon needs Gabi to continue to help Bode. Sharon sees a man that Vince hated. Sharon refuses to leave him in Vince’s station. Sharon tells him to get out of there. Jack wants Vince’s job. Bode calls him out on it. Jake tries to blame Bode for Vince’s death. Bode warns Jake that he is coming for Vince’s job.

Sharon breaks up the fight and suspends 42 from active duty immediately. A memorial is set up for Vince outside. Bode wakes up with Gabi by his side. Bode says he could not have survived that past two months without him. Bode says this feels like old times. Audrey calls and Manny calls Gabi away to do laundry. Gabi and Manny discuss Sharon and Bode. Manny encourages Gabi to join the firefighters that are traveling to teach others. Gabi and Manny help Body get through his probe duties. Manny gets hoses for the fire fighters assisting Edgewater.

Jake Crawford Plans To Take Battalion Chief Exam

Jake goes over questions with Eve Edwards (Jules Latimer). Jake is jealous of Bode because everyone acts like he is the chief. Bode commits them to helping on a fire that is burning out of control. The straps holding a load of lumber catches on fire and almost falls on the visiting firefighters. One of the fire fighter is caught behind the load of lumber.

Gabi needs to get to the fire fighter to give him fluids. Manny tries to stop her. Gabi is on her last shift at 42, Bode wants to know why she didn’t say anything. Gabi gets to the patient and accesses his condition. The patient is unconscious and they are losing him. Gabi needs to try to wedge logs so they don’t fall on them. Things start to fall again. Gabi tells them to get htem out of there. Gabi and her patient are rescued.

Sharon Leone Has Survivors Guilt

Walter is at Sharon’s and she is furious. Sharon tells Walter that he is the reason that Vince isn’t there. Walter argues that Vince would have wanted him to pull her out. Sharon was the highest ranking officer there and Vince was her responsibility. Sharon orders Walter out of her house. Luke Leone (Michael Trucco) is told to leave as well.

Luke comes back and tells Sharon that her and Walter have been through something similar. Sharon tells Luke that it was her fault that Vince is dead. Sharon learns that 42 is helping with this fire and is furious.

Back at the station, Eve plans to convince the bosses to allow them to rebuilt Three Rock. Gabi asks Bode to meet with her. Gabi apologizes to Bode for not telling him that she was living. Gabi tells him that Calfire wanted her to speak at recruiting events. Gabi needs to tell Bode that she still loves him. Bode tells her that love has never been their problem. Gabi gives Bode a pin that was Vince’s.

Bode doesn’t know how to say goodbye to her. Gabi says goodbye for now. Bode agrees. Bode and Gabi hug and she walks away. Bode goes inside to his locker and finds the pills he said he threw away. Sharon is back at 42 and says it work her up realizes they didnt have a leader. Sharon and Luke argue. Sharon doesn’t want the man they made battalion chief.
