General Hospital Spoilers claim Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) is about to have some pretty difficult conversations this week with his parents — Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright).
Both of them are coming under fire from the people around them who think Michael might be guilty of shooting Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison).
While Carly attempts to shore up support from Jack Breannan (Chris McKenna) in case she did inadvertently put her foot in her mouth when speaking with Police Commissioner Anna Devane (Finola Hughes), Sonny is busy playing on the affections of District Attorney Justice Turner (Nazneen Contractor).
Both of them have every reason to want to protect Michael, and they may worry that he is guilty, but Michael’s about-face in giving Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) a second chance with their kids is going to leave them with lingering questions.
Is he extending an olive branch in hopes that Willow will persuade Drew to back down from pointing his finger in Michael’s direction?
Does Michael Think Willow Shot Drew?
Some fans are theorizing that Michael may believe Willow is guilty of shooting Drew. How would he know that?
Perhaps he caught a glimpse of her when he was there that night to confront Drew about his reconciliation with Willow, right before he allegedly scrambled away having second thoughts about it. What if Michael didn’t really leave?
Is it possible that Michael didn’t actually leave that night but stuck around and witnessed Willow firing each round into Drew’s back? Could it be that he’s extending her this olive branch now out of concern that the kids might lose their mother to a jail cell soon?
Michael’s Suspicions Don’t Stop There
Michael isn’t just suspicious of Willow shooting Drew. Remember, he thought she was responsible for the strange incidents that were happening at the Quartermaine mansion with Daisy Corinthos Gilmore (Brenden and Evelyn Beimford) and Sasha Gilmore Corbin (Sofia Mattsson).
His sudden decision to let Willow back into the kids’ lives signals that he has some strategy in place, not that he has spontaneously stopped worrying about Willow’s stability.
After all, she just decided to go back to Drew despite the fact that he slept with her mother, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) and lied to her about it for more than a year. Fans think Michael has a trick up his sleeve, but is it to save Willow, or thwart her?
Sonny and Carly Double Down
Sonny and Carly are bound to interrogate Michael in the days ahead. After all that he went through to get the kids away from Willow, it won’t make much sense to either one of them that he decided out of nowhere to invite her back into the mix.
Michael’s suggestion that Willow’s visitations be supervised could look like a protective layer on the surface, but Carly knows her son and might suspect something else is going on.
Will this finally be the time that Michael reveals to Carly and Sonny what he suspects about Willow’s involvement with baby Daisy disappearing at the Q mansion?
