Justin Hartley Plus The Great Outdoors Equals A Hit CBS Series
What happens when you mix Justin Hartley with the great outdoors? You get an exciting procedural series named Tracker, which is set to launch its third season on CBS this fall.
Before you set off to binge-watch it, you might want to learn more about the storyline, cast, release date, and other details.
Tracker is a CBS series that centers on Colter Shaw, a survivalist living off the grid who dedicates his time to locating missing individuals and items.
In Season 3, Colter will confront his own confusion and sorrow stemming from surprising revelations about his father’s death.
Colter’s Background And The Way He Goes About Things Are Shaped By His Childhood
Colter’s upbringing and his approach to work are influenced by his early years. His father was a hero in his eyes, but later became paranoid, uprooting the family and insisting, ‘They’re coming for us.
The government is out to get us!’ As a child, this is incredibly distressing; you think, ‘Oh my God, we need to find a safe place!’ You don’t doubt your father, he is always right,” Hartley shared with The Hollywood Reporter in February of this year.
The Family Moves Off The Grid And Become Survivalists
“So, he takes them off the grid; they turn into survivalists; as they grow older, it becomes clear that something might be off with dad. He carries a lot of pain and has many questions.
He’s dealing with family issues and strangely lives in a wheeled RV; he can easily start the truck and leave whenever things get too close to home,” he said.
“He’s a brave guy, ready to confront all these dangers directly; gradually, he begins to wonder, ‘Is mom deceiving me? Was Dad paranoid, or was he somewhat right about things? Hold on, what’s happening here; maybe he wasn’t paranoid;’ that would drive anyone mad, wouldn’t it?”
Who’ll Be In The Cast This Season?
Jensen Ackles will join Hartley for Season 3; however, Robin Weigert, Abby McEnany, and Eric Graise will not be returning. “.
The main rule I have for the show is that each week, Colter will arrive in a new location with a new case How he finds the answers and what he uses with the team is open to interpretation,” said Tracker executive producer Elwood Reid to US Weekly.
“We aim to introduce more of these [local] quirky characters as the season progresses-it’s enjoyable to watch Justin engage with other characters and showcase his talents alongside great guest stars.” Tracker Season 3 premieres on CBS on Sunday, October 19, and will air weekly, also available for streaming on Paramount+.
