Countdown To Christmas Movie Event Coming Soon
We are merely a few days away from the highly anticipated annual Countdown to Christmas movie event hosted by the Hallmark Channel. The commencement of the 2025 season is scheduled for Friday, October 17.
This beloved holiday binge-watching experience is poised to unveil a remarkable total of forty brand new original films this year, featuring some of the network’s most cherished stars.
In addition, several of these well-known stars have come together to create a video public service announcement addressing a matter that is increasingly emerging as a significant concern on social media platforms. Continue reading to discover more about this pressing warning.
The Stars Deliver An Urgent Warning To Fans
The time for enjoying movies wrapped in warm blankets with a cup of hot chocolate is nearly here. This also means more posts from Hallmark stars on social media as they promote their new films-however, it also brings more chances for scammers.
A group of Hallmark stars collaborated to create a PSA for social media; they urgently cautioned fans to be aware of and avoid fake accounts online.
Tyler Hynes, Tamera Mowry, Andrew Walker, Nikki DeLoach, B.J. Britt, and Jonathan Bennett appeared in the video, starting with Tyler Hynes, Tamera Mowry, and Nikki DeLoach expressing that Hallmark cares for their fans.
They said Hallmark has an important message to convey, as the scene shifted to Andrew Walker, who mentioned a “growing industry-wide issue” on social media.
BJ And Jonathan Talked About Imposter Accounts And Increasing Scams
B.J. Britt and Jonathan Bennett pointed out that there has been a rise in fake accounts reaching out to fans, impersonating the well-known actors.
The Hallmark stars in the video emphasized that the actors would never message you to ask for money or to arrange a meeting; “It’s a scam,” they cautioned. Nikki DeLoach advised on what to do if you suspect you’ve been approached by a scammer posing as one of the Hallmark stars.
“Please block the account and report it to the social media platform right away,” she stated-the stars concluded the video by expressing gratitude to their fans. “I can’t believe they even have to make a video like this-it’s crazy,” one fan commented, while another teasingly commented it was a shame Tyler Hynes wasn’t contacting them.
It’s Not Just Fans Of This Network It’s Happening To
If you’ve ever commented on a news article on social media, you might have been tagged in a reply asking you to add that person as a friend.
Or maybe you’ve gotten a direct message from an account that claims to be a famous actor or musician; the name on the account often resembles the real name of the celebrity.
However, many people overlook the small differences in capitalization or spelling; as the Hallmark PSA pointed out, this issue affects the whole entertainment industry.
A fan of the soap opera General Hospital was recently tricked out of their life savings by someone pretending to be Steve Burton. So, the next time you receive a message from your favorite actor, think carefully before you respond.
