Coronation Street Spoilers Week Of October 6: Asha’s Desperate Act, Abi’s Affair Exposed, Tim’s Old Flame Returns, Todd Protects Theo

Coronation Street spoilers and updates for the week of October 6 reveal Asha Alahan (Tanisha Gorey) performs a desperate act, and Abi Webster’s (Sally Carman-Duttine) affair is exposed.

Also, Tim Metcalfe’s (Joe Duttine) old flame returns, and Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) protects Theo Silverton (James Cartwright).

Asha’s Desperate Act

Next week, Asha takes drastic steps, leaving her father Dev (Jimmi Harkishin) feeling angry and heartbroken over her deep despair.

Bernie Winter (Jane Hazlegrove) and Dev have just spent their wedding night at the hotel, but Bernie now expresses her concern for Asha.

In the shop, a weary Asha drinks from a wine bottle, then abruptly tells Brody Michaelis (Ryan Mulvey) to watch the shop before she leaves.

A sobbing Asha is discovered by Theo, slumped on a bench in Victoria Gardens with an empty bottle.

Theo raises the alarm, and Amy Barlow (Elle Mulvaney) informs Dev, while a paramedic checks on Asha, asking Dev and Amy if Asha might have consumed any drugs along with the wine.

Sienna Informs Dev Drugs Were Found On Asha

As Dev waits for updates in A&E, Sienna (Charlotte Tyree) comes over and softly tells him they found drugs on Asha. Dev is shocked as Bernie asks if Asha has attempted to take her own life; spoilers reveal  Asha will be physically fine.

But there are ongoing worries about her mental health as Dev struggles to manage his feelings, telling Bernie he feels angry that Asha was willing to cause the family so much hurt.

Dev visits Asha later, but can he be there for his daughter; meanwhile, at the Rovers, Kirk Sutherland (Andrew Whyment) and Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) talk about Asha’s situation.

As they express their concern for Dev, the group opens up about their own fears and agrees to share them instead of keeping them inside.

Abi’s Affair Exposed By Her Own Blunder

Abi makes a blunder that ultimately exposes her affair with Carl (Jonathan Howard) to Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell).

At Ronnie Bailey’s (Vinta Morgan) birthday party, Carl finds himself awkwardly positioned between his two secret lovers, Abi and James Bailey (Jason Callender).

When young Alfie Franklin (Carter & Oakley Razak Townsend) spills his drink, Carl steps in to help while Abi cleans up the mess.

A furious Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney) observes their closeness and tells Abi that she needs to end her relationship with Carl. Debbie then suggests that Kevin should hire a lawyer since Abi is not trustworthy.

Abi Sees Them Talking But Can’t Hear

Abi notices them chatting but can’t hear their conversation, and thinking the worst, she sends a frantic text to Carl to warn him that Kevin is aware, but accidentally texts Kev instead!

Carl attempts to grab Kevin’s phone to erase the message, but the next day, it appears that Kev has discovered the truth.

He rejects Abi when she checks on him and Jack Webster (Kyran Bowes) and makes  it clear that she is no longer welcome. Kevin asks for his house key back, but later, Bernie informs Abi and Carl that she has seen Kev throwing Abi’s things onto the street.

With Kevin feeling heartbroken, will Abi regret her choices even more when she eventually learns that Carl has been lying to her?

Tim’s Old Flame Returns

Tim reconnects with an old love, but their past isn’t as it appears; he recognizes a familiar face as Trisha Pinkerton (Anita Booth), a girl from the ’80s.

Meanwhile, it’s Tim and his wife Sally Metcalfe’s (Sally Dynevor) anniversary, and she urges Tim to visit the Rovers to help lift Kevin’s spirits. Trisha shows up and grabs Tim’s attention, and he tells the guys that she’s someone from his past.

Kevin isn’t happy about it, and the following day, Trisha drops by Tim’s cab office, surprising Sally when she sees her there.

Sally introduces herself as Tim’s wife and is furious with Tim, pointing out that he not only missed their anniversary dinner but is now entertaining his ex at work!

A Dark Past Revealed

As Sally storms away in anger, Tim tells Brian Packham (Peter Gunn) that he was just 14 when he started dating Trisha, who was nearly 20 at that time.

Brian looks shocked, and later on, he claims Trisha was guilty of grooming Tim when he was a child. Trisha is horrified as Tim confronts Brian, who argues that they need to acknowledge what really occurred with Trisha.

When Sally confronts Tim, he admits he was only 14 when Trisha took his virginity. Sally is shocked, but can she get Tim to realize that he was the victim of grooming?

Todd Protects Theo

Additionally, Todd goes to the hospital for a bowel cancer appointment, concealing this from his overbearing partner Theo to shield him.

Todd feels thankful when Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank) joins him, and at the pub, he expresses his gratitude to Billy, promising to inform Theo once he receives the results.

Later, Theo is irritated to find Todd and Billy together, and his frustration grows when Todd mentions he has accepted an invitation to dinner with George and Christina Boyd (Amy Robbins).

With Theo showing more controlling behavior as he disapproves of Todd having a life independent of him, how will he respond? Will Todd be able to allay his jealous fears, or will Theo act out worse?
