B&B ABSOLUTELY WILD Fan Speculation! What If Daphne Rose Is the Show’s Next PSYCHO Villain?

By Steven Martinez 10/02/2025

DAPHNE ROSE’S VILLAIN ORIGIN STORY STARTS WITH HOPE

TL;DR: What if The Bold and the Beautiful is setting up Daphne Rose as the show’s next unhinged villain? After watching Carter break his engagement with Hope and immediately run to her at Il Giardino, Daphne might be planning to eliminate Hope as romantic competition—through kidnapping, manipulation, or even murder. When Hopeinevitably tries to win Carter back, Daphne could go full psycho.

Daphne Rose’s Been Waiting in the Wings

Let’s talk about Daphne Rose (Murielle Hilaire) and the suspicious timing of literally everything she does. Carter(Lawrence Saint-Victor) breaks his engagement with Hope (Annika Noelle), and within hours—HOURS—he’s sitting at Il Giardino watching Daphne croon into a microphone like she’s auditioning for his heart.

The woman was texting him earlier that same day asking if he had plans with Hope. She was already circling, waiting for an opening. And the second Carter becomes available, there she is, conveniently performing at open mic night, looking soulful and available and ready to “pick up the pieces.”

This isn’t coincidence. This is strategy. Daphne has been watching Carter and Hope‘s relationship implode from the front row, and she’s been preparing for her moment to swoop in. The question is: how far is she willing to go to keep Hope from ruining her shot?

Hope Will 100% Try to Get Carter Back

Here’s what we know about Hope Logan: the woman cannot make up her mind, and she absolutely hates losing. Right now she’s at Brooke‘s (Katherine Kelly Lang) house doing the daddy-daughter dance with Liam (Scott Clifton) and Beth (Jordyn Lynn Ariza), playing happy family while her engagement ring sits on Carter‘s desk at Forrester.

But give it a week. Maybe two. Hope will realize that Liam is still Liam—wishy-washy, eternally torn between her and Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), unable to commit fully to anyone. She’ll remember that Carter was stable, devoted, and actually wanted to marry her immediately.

And then Hope will try to get Carter back. She’ll show up at his place with apologies and explanations about needing time to figure out her feelings. She’ll talk about how Beth needed closure with Liam, but her heart belongs to Carter. She’ll expect him to take her back because that’s what men do in Hope‘s world—they wait.

Except this time, Daphne Rose will be in the way.

Daphne Goes Nuclear: The Villain Origin Story

Picture this: Hope shows up at Carter‘s apartment ready to reconcile, only to discover Daphne answering the door in Carter‘s shirt. Or worse, Hope walks into Il Giardino and sees Carter and Daphne laughing together, clearly moving past friendship into something more.

Hope‘s not going to handle that well. She’ll try to insert herself back into Carter‘s life, probably getting Brookeinvolved to plead her case, maybe even leveraging their work relationship at Forrester to stay in his orbit.

And that’s when Daphne snaps.

The Kidnapping Scenario: Hope Disappears

What if Daphne Rose decides the only way to keep Hope away from Carter is to literally remove her from the equation? She’s been working at Forrester, she knows Hope‘s schedule, and she’s clearly resourceful enough to plan ahead.

Daphne could drug Hope‘s drink at a company event, stuff her in a car, and stash her somewhere remote. Not to kill her immediately—just to keep her away long enough for Carter to fully commit to their new relationship. A few weeks locked in a cabin while Daphne Rose texts everyone from Hope‘s phone saying she needs “space to figure things out.”

By the time anyone realizes Hope is actually missing, Daphne and Carter are engaged, and Hope‘s just the crazy ex who couldn’t let go.

The Manipulation Game: Gaslighting Hope

Maybe Daphne Rose goes the psychological warfare route instead of kidnapping. She starts planting evidence that Hope is unstable—forwarding texts to Carter that make Hope look obsessive, staging situations where Hope appears to be stalking them, even faking threatening messages that seem to come from Hope.

Daphne plays the victim perfectly, crying to Carter about how scared she is of his “unhinged ex-fiancée” who can’t accept that he’s moved on. Carter, being the good guy he is, steps up to protect Daphne Rose, getting restraining orders against Hope and cutting off all contact.

Hope ends up looking like the villain while Daphne plays innocent, all while systematically destroying Hope‘s reputation and relationships until she’s completely isolated.

The Murder Plot: Permanent Solution

Here’s where things get really dark: what if Daphne decides that as long as Hope is alive, she’ll always be a threat to her relationship with CarterHope has history with Carter, she’s the mother of Liam‘s children (making her forever connected to a prominent family), and she has Brooke as backup.

Daphne might conclude that the only way to secure Carter permanently is to eliminate Hope entirely. She could stage an accident—maybe Hope falls off a Forrester building rooftop during a late-night work session. Or a car “accident” on a dark road. Or poison disguised as food allergies.

The beauty of this plan (from Daphne‘s twisted perspective) is that nobody suspects her. She’s been so supportive, so understanding, just the friend who was there when Carter needed someone. She has no obvious motive because publicly, she didn’t pursue Carter until after Hope ended the engagement.

Carter would grieve, Daphne would comfort him, and eventually they’d bond over loss. By the time anyone questions the circumstances of Hope‘s death, Daphne and Carter are married with airtight alibis.

Why This Theory Is Insane But Also Perfect

The Bold and the Beautiful loves a good villain, and they’re overdue for a female antagonist who isn’t Sheila(Kimberlin Brown). Daphne has been positioned as the supportive friend, which makes her perfect for a heel turn that nobody sees coming.

The show has already established her interest in Carter, her convenient timing, and her access to both Forrester and Carter‘s personal life. She has means, motive, and opportunity for all kinds of scheming.

Plus, watching Hope finally face consequences for her inability to commit would be satisfying for viewers who are tired of watching her ping-pong between men. If Daphne goes rogue trying to secure CarterHope would have to fight for her life—literally—instead of just expecting men to wait around while she figures out her feelings.

The Clues Are Already There

Look at Daphne Rose’s behavior with fresh eyes:

That’s not coincidence. That’s calculated positioning. Daphne has been waiting for her shot, and now that she has it, she’s not letting Hope Logan ruin it.

Bottom Line: Daphne’s About to Become Your Favorite Villain

Is Daphne Rose about to go full Single White Female on Hope Logan? All signs point to yes. Whether through kidnapping, manipulation, or murder, Daphne eliminating Hope as romantic competition would create months of delicious drama.

Carter would be caught between grief and new love. Brooke would go on a rampage trying to prove Daphne‘s involvement. Liam would spiral with guilt about the daddy-daughter dance being Hope‘s last happy moment. And Daphne? She’d be playing innocent while plotting her next move.

So when Hope inevitably tries to win Carter back and suddenly disappears under mysterious circumstances, remember: we called it first.
