At the hospital, Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) shows up in Drew’s hospital room. The lawyer is surprised to see Drew in a suit and a wheelchair.
The congressman declares he’s going to his mother’s funeral. Even though nobody wants him there, Drew plans on going anyway. Drew gives a sob story about Monica calling him and he not calling her back.

Funeral Arrivals
At the chapel, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) meets up with Elizabeth “Liz” Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst). This just doesn’t feel real for Jason. He now realizes how much pain he caused Monica by staying away for so many years.
Liz assures him and then Laura Collins (Genie Francis) arrives. The mayor comments about Monica being a pillar of the community. Laura says she eventually became friends with Monica despite their differences.
Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) shows up and talks to Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson). Meanwhile, Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) and Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) arrive and talk to Jason.
Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) and Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) show up next. They chat with Jason about how wonderful Monica was. Lucy starts to comment about Monica not being a saint, but Felicia stops her.
Jason really stepped up, becoming the “greeter” for his mom’s funeral. Stone Cold hates small talk, but he did it for Monica.

Gio Palmieri’s Run-In
Gio arrives at the chapel, which surprises Jason. Gio talks about how welcoming Monica was before she even knew he was family. Dante and BLQ walk into the chapel and see Gio.
Dante says Gio can sit with them if he wants. The young man politely declines, but it’s a nice moment. Ned starts the funeral by speaking first.
He reads a message left by Monica for everyone. Liz goes up next and then Laura. The mayor knew Monica most of her life. She also brings up all the children that Monica lost, as well as her health struggles.

Those struggles only made Monica more compassionate. It’s Tracy’s turn, but she can’t do it. Lucy jumps up and gives a speech of her own.
Everyone is horrified but Lucy does say some nice things. Lucy was hoping that would push Tracy to speak. It doesn’t, so Jason decides to say a few words next. Tracy still can’t go up, so she sends Michael. Suddenly, the doors burst open and Drew wheels in.
